Notification Channels

Overview

This page will help you configure and manage notification channels in Revefi. Notification channels allow you to receive alerts and updates about your data quality monitors, incidents, and other important events.

Channel Types

Revefi supports multiple communication integrations.

System Channel

Revefi creates a system channel by default. This channel will receive all the notifications generated by Revefi.

Custom Channel(s)

Steps to create a new notification channel

• On the left menu bar, click "Settings" and then select Notifications
• On the Notifications page, click on "+ New Notification" button

• Enter a channel nickname
• Select the Notification Channel
  • Email address
    • Add email address(s)
  • Slack Channel [If connected with Revefi]
    • Select the channel where you want to receive the notifications
  • Microsoft Teams Channel [If connected with Revefi]
    • Select the channel where you want to receive the notifications
• Select the feed categories you want to be notified on
• Click Save

Revefi will send notification to the channel for categories the channel is subscribed to.

Data Quality Notifications

Revefi allows you to customize and filter Data Quality notifications to ensure you only receive alerts that matter most to you.

You can filter notifications in two ways:

• By Database & Schema: Receive alerts only for specific databases and schemas.
• By Tags: Filter alerts based on assigned tags for better organization and focus.

You can also direct these notifications to specific individuals or mailing groups, ensuring the right people are informed at the right time.
